Dear Colleagues,

Welcome to the official website of the Korean Academy of Conservative Dentistry (KACD).

Since its founding in 1959 with the mission of developing conservative dentistry, improving oral health and fostering close collaboration among its members, the KACD has become one of the major professional academic societies with 1,840 members in and out of the country dedicated to academic exchanges.

Every year, the KACD hosts Spring and Fall academic meetings and publishes the quarterly journal 'Restorative Dentistry & Endodontics' (RDE) with the aim of contributing to clinical dentistry and to the expansion of international research collaboration. As a professional academy, we also certify specialists, develop dental education programs for undergraduates and post-graduate studies, investigate national dental health insurance policies, as well as publish position statements on various clinical issues and academic debates. The KACD has participated in the Korea-Japan joint scientific meeting of Conservative Dentistry since 1999, and is currently organizing its first joint meeting with the Korean Academy of Periodontology. The KACD continuously aims to collaborate between specialties and to support the improvement of oral health and of dental education in Asia.

We welcome your contributions and suggestions as we look forward to developing the KACD into an internationally recognized organization.

Thank you very much.

Byeong-Hoon Cho,
President,
The Korean Academy of Conservative Dentistry
