(Asia-Pacific Journal of Business Venturing and Entrepreneurship)

Asia-Pacific Journal of Business Venturing and Entrepreneurship(APJBVE) provides a refereed and authoritative source of information and international forum in the field of Business Venturing and Entrepreneurship, and related topics. It offers an interface between Business Venturing and Entrepreneurship, as well as business corporate strategy and government economic policy. APJBVE are published 4 times a year by KSBV(Korean Society of Business Venturing).


Objectives

APJBVE aims to establish channels of communication and to disseminate knowledge between policy makers, experts and professionals working in universities, government departments, research institutions, as well as industry and related business.


Readership

Professionals, academics, researchers, managers, policy makers.


Contents

APJBVE publishes original papers, theory-based empirical papers, review papers, case studies, conference reports, relevant reports and news, book reviews and briefs. Commentaries on papers and reports published in the Journal are encouraged. Authors will have the opportunity to respond to the commentary on their work before the entire treatment is published. (Special Issues devoted to important topics in Business Venturing and Entrepreneurship, and related topics, will be published occasionally.) To be accepted, a paper must be judged to be truly outstanding in its field and to be of interest to a wide audience.

    The Journal of Business Venturing and Entrepreneurship is published quarterly by the Korean Society of Business Venturing(KSBV) located at 1463-10 3rd Floor, Seo-Cho 3 Dong, Seo-Cho Gu, Seoul, Korea.     Membership of the KSBV can be acquired by filling out and sending us the application form available on the website www.ksbv.or.kr. Any correspondence that concerns the membership or subscription to the Journal should be directed to the KSBV secretariat via E-mail.

    Manuscripts should be sent directly to the Secretariat via e-mail. There is no special fee charged for manuscripts submitted from abroad. Please refer to the style instruction form manuscripts included in the Journal before the submission.

    STYLE REQUIREMENTS

    1. Papers must be written in English.

    2. All submitted manuscripts must be original work that is not under submission at another journal or under consideration for publication in another form.

    3. Authors must submit papers by uploading the files in 'Submission of Manuscripts' part. Acceptable formats for electronic submission include Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat format only. .

    4. Manuscripts should be clearly typed, double spaced. The font size must be at least 10. All pages should be numbered consecutively. Titles and subtitles should be short. References, tables, and legends for figures should be printed on separate pages.

    5. The cover page should contain the title of the manuscript, the name(s) and institutional affiliation of the author(s), and an abstract of not more than 100 words followed by 5 key words. A footnote on the same sheet should give the name, address, telephone number, fax number, and e-mail address of the corresponding author.

    6. Acknowledgements and information on grants received can be given in a first footnote, which should not be included in the consecutive numbering of footnotes.

    7. Section headers should be left justified beginning with Arabic numeral. Each header should be in boldfaced type with the letter of each word capitalized.

    8. Footnotes.    Footnotes should be kept to a minimum and Arabic numbered consecutively throughout the text with superscript Arabic numerals. They should be double-spaced and not include displayed formulae or tables.

    9. Tables.        Tables must be numbered with Arabic numerals. Indicate in the text approximately where each table should be placed. Type each table on a separate page at the end of the paper. Tables must be self-contained, in the sense that the reader must be able to understand them without going back to the text of the paper. Each table must have a title followed by a descriptive legend. Authors must check tables to be sure that the title, column headings, captions, etc., are clear and to the point.

    10. Figures.      Figures must be numbered with Arabic numerals. All figure captions must be typed in double space on a separate sheet. A figure's title should be part of the caption. Figures must be self-contained. Each figure must have a title followed by a descriptive legend.

    11. Equations.    All but very short mathematical expressions should be displayed on a separate line and centered. Equations must be numbered  consecutively on the right margin, using Arabic numerals in parentheses as (1), (2), etc

    12. References.  References must be typed on a separate page, double-spaced, at the end of the paper. References to publications in the text should appear as follows:
          "Fama and Miller (1972) report that..."      
          or    
          "(Fama and Miller, 1972)."

        At the end of the manuscript (before tables and figures), the complete list of references should be as follows:

        For monographs: Fama, Eugene F., and Merton H. Miller, 1972. The Theory of Finance (Dryden Press, Hinsdale, Ill.).

        For contributions to collective works: Grossman, Sanford J., and Oliver D. Hart, 1982, Corporate financial structure and managerial incentives, in John J. McCall, ed.: The Economics of Information and Uncertainty (University of Chicago Press, Chicago, Ill.).

    Submission of Manuscripts

    1. Submission of Articles

    Consistent with this policy, honoraria are paid to referees who provide timely reviews. Manuscripts are considered for publication in APJFS on the understanding that they have not been previously published in whole or in part, and are not being simultaneously considered for publication elsewhere.

    2. Submission requirements

    The cover page must show title, author name(s) and affiliation(s), e-mail address(es), and work phone number(s). The first page of text should not contain any information regarding author(s). A one-paragraph abstract of no more than 100 words must be included. Manuscripts must be double-spaced on one side of the page.
