There are several classes of membership: regular
member, student member, special member, group member, library member,
and honorary member. Qualifications for the various membership categories
classes are as follows.
1. Lifelong Members.
Regular members who make a lump sum payment of ten times the annual
fee.
2. Regular Members.
Individuals holding the bachelor's or advanced degrees in OR/MS
or related disciplines; or individuals having four or more years
of experience at research institutes, industry, or academe in
OR/MS or related disciplines.
3. Student Members.
Students who are currently studying OR/MS or related disciplines.
4. Special Members.
Individuals or corporations that agree with the objectives of
the Society and support its activities.
5. Group Members.
Corporations or groups that agree with the objectives of the Society
and pay the annual fee.
6. Library Members.
Libraries that support the objectives of the Society and pay the
annual fee.
7. Honorary Members.
Individuals who have contributed to the Society in significant
ways.
The schedule of annual fees for each type of membership
is as follows.

In addition, an enrollment feeis applied
to each new member.

BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP
The Society is engaged in a wide range of activities
at both the regional and national levels. The activities provide
members with the opportunity to participate in domestic and international
conferences, seminars, workshops, tutorials, and invited lectures.
In addition, each member receives the Journal of the Korean Operations
Research and Management Science Societyfour times a year, the
International Journal of Management
Science twice a year, the Korean
Management Science Review twice a year, and the newsletter
of the society four times a year.
Only members may submit papers to the Journal and the Review. Members
can also participate in the activities of the Society by playing
a role on the Regional Branch Committees and Special Interest Groups.
The Society maintains various MS/OR documents as well as the mailing
list of the membership, which can be made available for use by individual
members.
